For music lovers, the Ealing Choral Society is set to deliver a powerful evening of choral music with Eternal Light: A Requiem by Howard Goodall. This moving piece, along with works by Vaughan Williams, Stanford, and Bairstow, will be performed on Saturday, 16th November at 7:30 pm at St Barnabas Church. It promises to be an evening filled with beautifully composed, soul-stirring music—a perfect start to the colder months.


🎨 Christmas Card Design Competition for Local Young Artists

Calling all young artists! Ealing Council is hosting its annual Christmas card design competition, inviting children aged 18 and under who attend a school in the borough to showcase their creativity. This year’s theme, Christmas in the Community, encourages young people to celebrate the season through art by creating designs that reflect their festive spirit. Entries are due by Monday, 4th November—don’t miss the chance for your child’s design to be shared by Council Leader Peter Mason and his team!

🎬 Escapes Film Festival: Free Independent Cinema Screenings

Film enthusiasts rejoice—Escapes Film Festival returns this November, bringing independent cinema to audiences across the UK with support from the BFI and National Lottery. This year’s feature, Layla, follows the journey of a British-Palestinian drag queen in East London, blending romance and self-discovery. The film will be previewed for free on Monday, 11th November at independent cinemas nationwide, including Ealing Project and ActOne Cinema. Tickets went live on October 22nd, so don’t wait too long to book your spot!

🍽️ Turtle Bay x AJ Collaboration: Limited-Time Tasting Experience

Ealing’s Turtle Bay has teamed up with London chef AJ of @allinabox_uk for a limited-time menu collaboration. Guests were treated to a 5-course tasting event at Turtle Bay Brixton, where they voted on their favourite dish from AJ’s Caribbean-inspired creations. The winning dish will now feature on Turtle Bay menus across the UK from 4th–17th November.
