How to Throw a Great Picnic
Pack some food and roll out the blanket for picnic season. When the weather is so pleasant it almost feels a crime not to enjoy a lovely spread in one of Ealing's beautiful parks.
What you do for your picnic comes down to personal preference, but the elements remain the same: a beautiful location, a comfy blanket and some delicious treats. Here's some inspiration to help you plan your perfect picnic.
Travel Light
Keep your picnic swag as concisely edited as possible. When you find the perfect spot, all you’ll need is a blanket and your portable feast.
Pick the right spot
Look for somewhere scenic and idyllic, lush and grassy, and with plenty of natural shade. Aim to set up under a tree to make sure you can utilise the shade in case it gets too hot, and make sure that there's plenty of surrounding space for children to run around.
Take Food You Can Pick Up Easily
Stuff with built-in handles, like chicken drumsticks, fruit on skewers, and corn on cobs, is all inherently picnic friendly.
Choose Enamel
Enamel plates are light, easy to pack and carry, and practical - they won't get soggy under the weight of a couscous salad and a dollop of houmous.
Pack rubbish bags and wet wipes
They’re effortless to haul home, and when you need them…you really need them.
